BNP receives permission to hold reception for Tarique Rahman’s homecoming

The BNP has received written permission from the Dhaka Divisional Commissioner to organize a reception for Tarique Rahman’s return to Bangladesh. The party confirmed this late on Sunday night through Shairul Kabir Khan of its media cell.

Tarique Rahman will return on 25 December after spending 17 years in the UK. The formal permit was delivered to the BNP central office by a staff member from the Divisional Commissioner’s office. Party members will announce the detailed schedule of the reception soon. The return has sparked widespread interest and discussion in political circles.
