SSC 2026 Examinees Get Another Opportunity for Ninth Grade Registration

The Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has reopened registration for ninth-grade students of the 2024 academic year who could not complete registration within the prescribed time. These students can now register from January 21 to 28.

The board issued a notice on Thursday, January 22, 2026, informing school principals and headteachers of all approved and recognized secondary and school & college institutions under its jurisdiction.

The board stated that students currently studying in the ninth grade must complete registration within this time frame to participate in the 2026 SSC examinations. No registration will be allowed after the deadline.

The notice also mentioned that the responsibility for students failing to register on time lies with the head of the respective educational institution. Students admitted from other boards through TC must also complete registration within this period.

Education officials believe that this decision by the Dhaka Board will give many students who missed the original deadline another chance.
