Muradnagar Triple Murder: 6 More Arrested, Total Detainees 8

RAB has arrested six more individuals in connection with the brutal hacking and beating deaths of a mother and her two children in Muradnagar Upazila, Cumilla. The arrests were made today, Saturday, in Dhaka's Banasree area. With these new detentions, the total number of arrests in this sensational triple murder case has now reached eight.

Mahmudul Hasan, Company Commander of RAB-11, CPC-2 Cumilla, confirmed the matter to Prothom Alo today around 2 PM. He stated that after the triple murder, the arrested individuals had fled the area and were hiding in Banasree, Dhaka. Detailed information regarding the arrest of these six will be provided at a press conference at the RAB Media Center in Dhaka today at 5 PM. Following the press conference, the arrested individuals will be handed over to the Bangra Bazar Police Station in Muradnagar.

Meanwhile, two other individuals were arrested last night (Friday) during a joint operation by the army and police. They have also been shown arrested in this murder case and were sent to the Cumilla court this afternoon. This brings the total number of arrests in the case investigation to eight.

The murder case was filed at Bangra Bazar Police Station last midnight, approximately 39 hours after the incident. The complaint names 38 individuals and includes 20-25 unidentified assailants. The three members of the same family were brutally murdered in Koribari village of Muradnagar last Thursday morning around 9 AM, an incident that has caused widespread shock and outrage in the area.
