Life-sentenced fugitive convict Jamshed Hossain arrested from Ashulia, Dhaka

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested long-absconding life-term convict Md. Jamshed Hossain (46) from the Ashulia area of Dhaka. He was detained during a joint operation conducted on Wednesday evening based on intelligence information.

According to RAB, members of RAB-8’s CPC-1 (Patuakhali Camp) and RAB-4’s CPC-2 (Nabinagar Camp) carried out a coordinated operation and arrested Jamshed Hossain from an area in Ashulia. He is a resident of Nazirpur village in Bauphal Upazila of Patuakhali and a convicted criminal with an active arrest warrant issued by the court.

RAB further said that after completing necessary legal procedures, he has been handed over to Savar Police Station.

RAB-8 CPC-1 Patuakhali Camp Company Commander Squadron Leader Rashed confirmed the matter and said that regular operations to arrest absconding convicted criminals are ongoing and will be intensified in the future.
