Jamaat-e-Islami is not in favor of postponing the national elections; rather, the party seeks a fair and inclusive environment surrounding the polls. Miah Golam Parwar, Secretary General of the organization, made this statement today, Monday (July 7), after inspecting Suhrawardy Udyan, the designated venue for Jamaat-e-Islami's national rally scheduled for July 19.

Calling upon people from all walks of life to participate in the upcoming national rally, Jamaat's Secretary General Miah Golam Parwar said that the purpose of this rally is to present demands to the government for ensuring a level playing field ahead of the national elections, holding elections under the PR (Proportional Representation) system, implementing necessary political reforms, and achieving visible progress in the judicial system.

During the inspection, Miah Golam Parwar was accompanied by Jamaat-e-Islami's Assistant Secretary Generals Maulana Abdul Halim, Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, and Advocate Moazzem Hossain Helal.
