Fire in three-vehicle collision in Daudkandi kills four including a child

In a horrific road accident in Banipara, Daudkandi upazila, Comilla, four people, including a child, were burned to death after a collision involving a motorcycle, an auto-rickshaw, and a passenger bus. Several others were injured in the incident.

The accident occurred on Friday (9 January) around noon. According to police, the motorcycle and auto-rickshaw were crushed under the bus during the collision. The motorcycle’s fuel tank exploded, which caused a fire that quickly spread to the bus and the auto-rickshaw.

A team from the Fire Service quickly arrived and brought the fire under control. The bodies of four victims, including a child, were recovered from the site. The injured were taken to various local hospitals for treatment. The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed. The damaged vehicles have been recovered and are under the custody of the Daudkandi Highway Police. The cause of the accident is under investigation, and necessary legal actions will be taken.
