The 50th BCS preliminary examination was successfully conducted on Friday, January 30, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM across multiple centers in Dhaka and eight divisional cities nationwide.
According to the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC), important instructions were provided to candidates before the exam. A notification signed by the PSC Examination Controller (Cadre) Masuma Afrin included the exam date, rules for entry, and conduct guidelines.
Seating arrangements were determined randomly, so candidates might take some time to locate their seats. All candidates were advised to enter the exam hall at least 30 minutes prior, by 9:30 AM. Latecomers were not permitted.
Strict security measures were enforced, including prohibiting clocks, mobile phones, electronic devices, books, calculators, bank or credit cards, jewelry, bags, and wallets. Entry was verified by executive magistrates and police, and metal detectors were used. Candidates were instructed to keep their ears uncovered, and the use of hearing aids required prior PSC approval.
The PSC stated that these strict measures ensured a peaceful and orderly examination environment.
