18th Teacher Registration: NTRCA Building Besieged by Unsuccessful Candidates Demanding Certificates

Protesters marched in Dhaka today, Monday, July 7, 2025, demanding certificates for all candidates who participated in the 18th Teacher Registration viva voce examination. The demonstration began around 12:15 PM from in front of the National Museum in Shahbag.

The protesters marched towards and subsequently besieged the building of the Non-Government Teachers' Registration & Certification Authority (NTRCA). They allege that 23,000 candidates who failed the oral examination were intentionally marked as unsuccessful.

Jasim Uddin, one of the protestors, claimed they have been victims of discrimination. Their primary demand is that all 83,000 candidates who took part in the 18th Teacher Registration viva voce examination should be issued passing certificates.
