Youth Murdered Over Past Dispute in Chuadanga

In Chuadanga, a youth named Sohel (25) was brutally murdered by having his throat slit. On Monday night (December 1), assailants killed him and left his body in a field. Local residents discovered the body in a paddy field the next morning and informed the police.

Sohel, a farmer by profession, was the son of Asabul Haque from Bakcharpara, Belgachi village, Chuadanga municipality.

Sources said Sohel had a past dispute with Taher’s son Faruk over a guava tree branch. A physical altercation occurred earlier, and locals suspect this incident is linked to the murder.

Sohel’s father, Asabul Haque, stated, “Faruk had threatened to kill my son. Now my son has been murdered by throat slitting. The police just need to interrogate Faruk to uncover the truth.”

Police at Chuadanga Sadar have begun initial investigations, looking into motives and identifying suspects. The murder has caused widespread panic in the area, and locals demand swift arrests and strict punishment for the culprits.
