Two Drug Dealers Arrested with 71 kg Cannabis in Keraniganj and Narayanganj

In separate operations in Keraniganj and Narayanganj, RAB has arrested two drug dealers and seized 71 kg of cannabis. The estimated market value of the recovered drugs is approximately 2.1 million BDT.

Assistant Director of RAB-10, Tapas Karmakar, said that during a raid in Kalindi area under Keraniganj Model Police Station, one drug dealer, Al Amin (33), was arrested with 46 kg of cannabis. On the same day, another raid in Sanarpar Bus Stand area under Siddhirganj Police Station in Narayanganj led to the arrest of Faruk (45) with 25 kg of cannabis.

RAB stated that the arrested individuals had been collecting cannabis from various sources for a long time and supplying it to Dhaka, Narayanganj, and nearby districts. Cases have been filed against the arrested under the Narcotics Control Act at the respective police stations.
