Seventeen years after returning to Bangladesh, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman completed his voter registration and all formalities for the National ID (NID).

On Saturday (27 December), he visited the grave of Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi at Dhaka University in the morning and then went to the Election Training Institute in Agargaon for NID registration. A strict security arrangement was in place.

Tarique Rahman will contest the upcoming 13th parliamentary elections from his ancestral seat Bogura-6 (Dhaner Shish) under the BNP. Local leaders have already collected his nomination papers.
