Security has been intensified in front of Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. On Tuesday, more police and RAB personnel were deployed compared to Monday.
Khaleda Zia, former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson, has been hospitalized here for 10 days. Supporters from across the country have gathered outside to see her.
By 9 AM, the crowd of leaders and activists continued to grow, with barricades set up to control traffic. Approximately 50 police officers are deployed under the supervision of senior officials, according to Assistant Police Commissioner Monirul Islam.
Supporters stated that even if they cannot meet her, they came to get news of her health. Nazrul Islam from Uzirpur, Barisal said, “Even if I can’t see her, I came. I have respected her since childhood; I never sought a position, but she is like a mother to me.” Soheli Parvin Shikha from Uttara, Dhaka said, “Since yesterday, there was little news about her, so I became worried. At least coming to the hospital allows me to check on her.”
Doctors have stated that due to a sudden deterioration in Khaleda Zia’s health, she has been moved to the ICU and is currently on ventilation, receiving proper monitoring and treatment.
