BNP Office Attacked in Gafargaon, Furniture Vandalized

In Gafargaon Upazila’s Dargatoli Bazaar of Panchbagh Union, miscreants attacked the BNP office late Sunday night and vandalized furniture. Local party leaders alleged that banned Awami League miscreants were behind the attack.

The office, located in Ward No. 2 of Dargatoli Bazaar in Lamkain village, served as a hub for local BNP leaders to conduct party activities. Following the attack, former Joint Convenor of Gafargaon Upazila BNP Shah Abdul Al Mamun and former Joint Convenor of Municipal BNP Zahid Hasan Swapon, along with other leaders, visited the site.

AB Siddiqul Rahman, Joint Convenor of Mymensingh South District BNP, said, “We have heard about the incident from local leaders. Appropriate action will be taken after a proper investigation.” Meanwhile, OC of Pagla Police Station, Mohammad Ferdous Alam, stated, “If a written complaint is submitted, it will be investigated and necessary measures will be taken.”
