A nine-member high-level delegation from Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is set to visit China from July 11 to 15 at the invitation of the Chinese government. The delegation will be led by Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. This information was confirmed on Wednesday (July 9) through a post on Jamaat-e-Islami's verified Facebook page.
Ahead of the visit, the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka hosted a reception last night, Tuesday (July 8), in honor of the high-level delegation from Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Yao Wen, was present and delivered a speech at the event.
Led by Ameer Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, the reception was attended by Nayeb Ameer and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar, Assistant Secretary Generals Maulana ATM Ma'sum, Maulana Abdul Halim, Maulana Muhammad Shahjahan, and Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Jubayer. Also present were Central Executive Council members Saiful Alam Khan Milan and Mobarak Hossain, President of the party's Industry and Commerce Division Shahidul Islam and Secretary Dr. Anwarul Azim, and Ameer Jamaat's PS Nazrul Islam, Omar Hasib Shafiullah, and Nowshad Ali Forhad, among others.
