Another Cocktail Explosion in Front of NCP Office in Banglamotor, 1 Injured

Another cocktail bomb explosion has occurred in front of the central office of the National Citizens’ Party (NCP), located in Rupayan Tower in the Banglamotor area of the capital. The incident took place around 11 PM on Wednesday. This is not the first time the NCP office has been targeted—there have been several previous cocktail attacks on the premises.

So far, one person has been reported injured in this latest attack. Around midnight, the party confirmed that the injured individual is Iman Hawlader, the Joint Convenor of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement’s Kalabagan unit. He is currently receiving treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

When contacted, Sub-Inspector Jalal Uddin, the duty officer at Ramna Police Station, said that a police team rushed to the scene immediately after the explosion. Efforts are underway to identify those involved in the attack, he added.
