345 Arrested Across the Country : Joint Forces Operation Led by Bangladesh Army

PNN Report | Dhaka: In response to the ongoing unrest and to maintain law and order nationwide, the Bangladesh Army, in coordination with other law enforcement agencies, has led a series of significant joint operations across the country. Between July 3 and July 10, 2025, various infantry divisions and independent brigades of the army conducted joint raids in Dhaka and several other regions in collaboration with the police and other security forces.

During these operations, a total of 345 individuals were caught red-handed and arrested. The detainees include identified terrorists, illegal arms holders, Young gang members, extortionists, illegal occupiers, members of robbery gangs, drug dealers and addicts, illegal sand extractors, as well as smugglers and handlers of stolen goods.

From the arrested persons, authorities recovered 19 illegal firearms, 9,139 rounds of ammunition, 9 handmade explosive devices (cocktail bombs), various narcotics, locally-made weapons used in criminal activities, stolen goods, mobile phones, and large sums of cash.

Following initial interrogation, all detainees were transferred to their respective local police stations for further legal action and proceedings
