Iran’s national football team has been forced to change its World Cup preparation plan due to administrative complications. Instead of setting up their base camp in the United States, the team is now staying in the border city of Tijuana, Mexico.

The Iranian players arrived in Tijuana early in the morning local time. The city is close to San Diego, California, making travel to World Cup venues relatively convenient.

Initially, Iran planned to base themselves in Arizona, USA. However, due to geopolitical tensions and visa uncertainties, the team management began considering alternatives.

Although players eventually received US visas, some administrative staff and support personnel did not. As a result, the Arizona plan was canceled, and Mexico was chosen as the base.

Team sources say the decision was made to avoid disruptions in training. Being near the border allows easier travel to matches and venues in the United States.

Iran is placed in Group G of the World Cup. Their first two matches will be played in Los Angeles, starting with New Zealand, followed by a match against Belgium. Their final group match will be against Egypt in Seattle.

Despite political tensions and administrative challenges, Iran remains determined to maintain preparation focus and hopes to respond through performance on the field.
