Top Police Officials Visit Khaleda Zia at Evercare Hospital

Following Khaleda Zia’s deteriorating health, the country’s top two police officials visited her at Evercare Hospital on Thursday night. IGP Baharul Alam and DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md. Sajjat Ali arrived shortly before 9 PM.

Khaleda Zia has been under treatment at Evercare Hospital for 12 consecutive days. Doctors described her condition as “critical.” She has multiple long-term health issues, including liver cirrhosis, heart disease, kidney complications, diabetes, and arthritis. She was moved from HDU to ICU after her condition worsened last Sunday morning.

Police officials ensured heightened security in the hospital area during their visit. Plans are underway to transfer her to London via a specialized air ambulance with support from the Emir of Qatar.
