Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said he prioritized Bangladesh’s national interest during his visits to Malaysia and China, emphasizing the government’s “Bangladesh First” policy.
Speaking in the National Parliament budget session on Saturday (June 29), he said the visits were aimed at protecting national interests.
He added that any positive outcome from the visits belongs to the country and its people.
Opposition leaders also praised the diplomatic outcomes of the visits, highlighting strengthened relations with Malaysia and China.
During the trip, Bangladesh signed 17 MoUs with China and one MoU plus two cooperation documents with Malaysia.
