BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman has said that if the election is held on the 12th, the struggle to rebuild the country will begin from the very next day. He called on everyone to stand beside BNP in this mission and urged voters to remain cautious in selecting the right candidates.

He made these remarks on Sunday night while addressing an election rally for Dhaka-11 constituency at San Valley Field in Satarkul, Badda, as the chief guest.

Tarique Rahman said that the responsibility of shaping Bangladesh’s future lies with its people. Outlining his vision for rebuilding the country, he said Bangladesh must be built in a way where children receive quality education, people have easy access to healthcare, employment opportunities are created for youth, and women become economically self-reliant.

His speech began after 11:00 p.m. The rally commenced earlier in the evening with recitation from the Holy Quran. Special prayers were offered for BNP founder Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. From the afternoon, leaders, activists and ordinary citizens from various areas of Dhaka-11 gathered at the venue.

Calling on voters to remain vigilant, Tarique Rahman said that a vested group is attempting to undermine the election process. He urged everyone to stay alert in their respective areas to prevent misinformation.

He also warned against election irregularities, mentioning that attempts to create fake seals had been detected in some places. He stressed the importance of voter awareness to prevent such malpractice.

Seeking votes for the “Sheaf of Paddy” symbol, Tarique Rahman said BNP is currently a party with experience in governing the state, clear plans and practical programs. He assured that if given public support, BNP would implement its commitments in phases.

He emphasized that casting a vote alone is not enough; ensuring the proper counting and protection of votes is also a civic responsibility.

In his speech, Tarique Rahman reiterated plans to introduce “Family Cards” for women and “Farmer Cards” for farmers, along with promises of employment through technical and IT training, home-based primary healthcare services, and dignified allowances for mosque imams and muezzins.

On law and order, he said ensuring public safety would be the first priority after forming the government, creating an environment where people can move freely at any time.

Criticizing elections held over the past 16 years, he alleged that people were deprived of their right to vote and that the election system had been turned into a farce.

He urged voters to support BNP candidate M.A. Kaiyum in Dhaka-11. The rally, chaired by M.A. Kaiyum, also featured speeches from BNP central and local leaders, including members of families of martyrs from the July mass uprising.

Earlier in the day, Tarique Rahman addressed separate rallies at ECB Chattar, Pallabi, Mirpur, Senpara and Shyamoli Club Field in the capital.
