BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman has been described as the country's future Prime Minister by the party’s secretary general, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. He made the remarks on Saturday (August 9) while speaking at the National Council of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) in the capital.
Mirza Fakhrul said, "The culture of mutual violence and hatred that has been created in the country has led us towards destruction. We must come out of this culture."
Criticizing the government's pharmaceutical industry policy and other sectoral policies, the BNP secretary general said that it is essential not only to restore voting rights but also to ensure the overall rights of the people.
He also mentioned that the 31-point proposal given by Tarique Rahman has the potential to bring revolutionary changes in various sectors, including the health sector.
Appealing to the government to ensure treatment for those injured in the July mass uprising, Mirza Fakhrul said, "Necessary measures must be taken immediately to protect people's lives and health."
