“Nation Building Will Be the Politics of the Future”: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in Moulvibazar

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said that ensuring democratic environment and freedom of expression has enabled the government to implement various public welfare commitments. He warned that failure to fulfill election promises would harm ordinary people.

He made the remarks at the inauguration of a Family Card distribution program at Moulvibazar Government High School field on Wednesday afternoon.

He stated that once a government is formed through elections, it is the responsibility of the state to ensure welfare for all citizens beyond political divisions.

He announced plans to distribute Family Cards to mothers across every upazila within a year, along with initiatives for tea workers and marginalized communities.

He also mentioned plans for agricultural development, including farmer cards for 4 million farmers, and improvements in healthcare and education services at the upazila level.

He urged citizens to be responsible and active in monitoring development activities and emphasized political stability and cooperation between government and people.

Various ministers, MPs, and officials were present at the event.
