Jamaat MP Demands Household Facilities in Parliament Flats

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami MP Mizanur Rahman has demanded essential household facilities in residential flats allocated for Members of Parliament, including washing machines, microwave ovens, and curtains.

He raised the issue during the national parliament budget discussion for the 2026–27 fiscal year.

He stated that MPs’ flats still lack curtains and previously promised appliances like washing machines and microwaves have not been provided.

He urged authorities to make parliamentary housing more livable and functional.

He also expressed concern about the budget deficit and dependence on domestic and foreign loans, warning about risks in the banking sector due to rising non-performing loans.
