On Sunday (August 3), at 10:30 AM, they started a sit-in program at the Barisal campus.Students from all years, from Level-1 to Level-4, actively participated in the protest, chanting the same slogan throughout the campus: “Combined, Combined.”

Third-year student Abu Barkatullah said, “There is no alternative to a combined degree between AH and DVM for producing skilled manpower in the livestock sector. Considering the real demand and job opportunities, the importance of this degree is immense.”

Another student, Rufayda Jerin, stated, “Opportunities for women in government jobs are becoming limited. The introduction of a combined degree would greatly reduce these limitations.”

It is reported that students of this discipline have stopped attending classes and exams since last Tuesday. From Wednesday onwards, they have been regularly holding the sit-in and have declared that the protest will continue until their demands are met.

The students demand a timely and practical combined degree to promote livestock development and enhance competitive capabilities in the workplace. Now, it is the responsibility of the university administration to take this reasonable demand seriously and consider it properly.
