The application process for the first release slip under the undergraduate (Honours) first-year admission program for the 2025–26 academic session of National University is likely to begin in the last week of this month.
University authorities said the release slip application will start immediately after the completion of the second merit list admission process.
Officials involved in the admission process confirmed on Saturday (June 20) that preparations are underway. If everything goes according to plan, applications may begin on June 27 or 28.
According to university sources, students who did not get a place in the merit list despite meeting required marks, or those who were selected but did not take admission, or those who later cancelled their admission, will be eligible to apply through the release slip system.
Each applicant will be able to apply for up to five colleges in order of preference. Students must log in to the National University admission portal to select colleges and subjects based on available vacant seats.
After completing the application, candidates will be able to download and save the form. However, the form does not need to be submitted to any college, and no application fee is required. College approval is also not necessary.
The university will publish detailed instructions and updates on its official website and has advised students to regularly check the notice board.
Authorities expect that the release slip system will expand admission opportunities in vacant seats and help complete the admission process more efficiently.
