Staff Report: PNN
The government will provide special financial grants for the development of technical and madrasa educational institutions, and to support teachers, staff, and students. Applications have been invited by the Technical and Madrasah Education Division.

According to a notice issued by the division, the grant will be provided from the revised operational budget for the 2025–26 fiscal year. Applications can be submitted online from March 15 to April 20. The notice was signed by Deputy Secretary Mohammad Mahmudul Haque.

Both government and non-government accredited technical and madrasa educational institutions can apply for the grant for various developmental purposes. These include building repair and renovation, creation or purchase of necessary furniture, procurement of sports equipment, creating a supportive environment for students with special needs, and development of libraries.

Priority will be given to financially weak but high-quality institutions in underdeveloped regions.

Teachers and staff of technical and madrasa institutions can apply for assistance for expensive or complex medical treatments or financial crises caused by accidents. Meanwhile, students can apply for grants for severe illness, accidents, or educational expenses. Priority will be given to poor but meritorious, disabled, and underprivileged students.

Applications must be submitted online via the MyGov Bangladesh platform. For this, the head of the respective educational institution must first complete registration and verify the profile using the institution’s EIIN number.

For educational institutions, the grant money will be sent online to the institution’s bank account. Applicants must provide their bank account details and attach a PDF copy of the MICR cheque leaf. For teachers, staff, and students, the grant will be disbursed via mobile banking, and the applicant’s mobile number must be registered, along with necessary documents such as a national ID or birth certificate copy.

Those who received the grant in the 2024–25 fiscal year cannot apply again in the current fiscal year. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

The relevant authority stated that district-level committees will verify and evaluate the applications and send the final list to the Technical and Madrasah Education Division by May 15, 2026. It is hoped that this initiative will help financially weak educational institutions, teachers, staff, and students.
