The government has announced new strict measures to ensure transparency and accountability in the country’s examination system. Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Haq Milon stated that a strong stance will be taken against cheating and irregularities not only in SSC-HSC but also in job and other competitive examinations.

Recently, he said that amendments are being made to the Public Examination Act, enabling legal action against irregularities in all types of exams, not just board exams.

The minister added that CCTV cameras will be mandatory in all educational institutions to ensure a fair exam environment. If any institution faces financial constraints, the government will provide the necessary support.

Additionally, instructions have been issued to ensure uninterrupted power supply at examination centers with IPS systems, so technological monitoring is not disrupted.

The Education Minister also mentioned that sudden online or in-person monitoring of classes may occur centrally if necessary, and all concerned should be prepared.

Through this initiative, it is expected that tendencies toward cheating and malpractice will decrease, and discipline and credibility in the education system will improve.
