After completing the second phase of the admission process for the 2025–26 academic year, Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) has published a new admission list. So far, 1,075 students have completed their admission, but 155 seats are still vacant across different departments.
According to university sources, 1,045 students have been admitted under the Engineering and URP (Urban and Regional Planning) departments. There are still 155 vacant seats in those departments. On the other hand, all 30 seats in the Architecture department have been filled, leaving no vacancies there.
A new merit list has been published for the third phase of admission. Students ranked 3501 to 3716 have been called for direct admission in the third phase. In addition, students ranked 3717 to 4100 will also be considered if seats remain vacant.
These students have been asked to appear at the RUET Guest House on April 6 with the necessary documents.
This information was published in a notice on RUET’s admission website, signed by Professor Dr. Md. Nurul Islam, Chairman of the 1st Year Undergraduate Admission Test Committee.
The notice states that the admission process is being conducted according to the prepared list based on students’ merit ranking and department preference. Selected students have been instructed to confirm their admission by depositing the admission fee within banking hours.
This year RUET is admitting students to 1,230 general seats across 14 departments under the faculties of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical & Computer Engineering. Including 5 reserved seats for students from the Chittagong Hill Tracts and ethnic minorities, a total of 1,235 seats will be filled.
