The University of Dhaka (DU) has decided to launch online classes starting Sunday, November 30, to maintain all academic activities. This information was confirmed in a notice signed by the Deputy Director of the Public Relations Office, Farrukh Mahmud, on Saturday, November 29.

The notice states that each department and institute will be responsible for conducting online classes, coordinated by the respective department heads and deans. Online classes will continue until further notice.

The university administration also mentioned that the winter vacation decision will be announced later based on engineers’ inspection reports of buildings damaged by the earthquake and aftershocks. Cooperation from everyone is requested to ensure smooth academic activities.

Earlier, following an emergency meeting on the night of November 22, DU had declared closure until December 6 due to post-earthquake safety concerns. All classes, exams, and residence halls were suspended during this period. Students were later instructed to vacate halls by 5 PM Sunday due to technical reasons.
