NCP raises concerns over local government elections and administrative neutrality

Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan criticized BNP, saying the party has moved away from democratic practices after coming to power.

He made the remarks at an emergency press conference at the National Citizens Party temporary central office in Banglamotor, Dhaka, where the party also announced candidates for 100 upazilas and municipalities.

He said some administrators involved in local government are also participating in election campaigning, which questions electoral neutrality.

He demanded a clear election roadmap from the government.

He also expressed concern over rising measles infection, calling it a national crisis.

He raised concerns about law and order deterioration and border killings, urging stronger diplomatic action with India.
