Mirza Faisal Amin and Eliza Zaman Sworn In as Members of Parliament

Mirza Faisal Amin and Eliza Zaman have been sworn in as newly elected members of the 13th National Parliament.

Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram administered their oath at his office in the National Parliament Building on Tuesday (November 3) at noon.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed were present at the oath-taking ceremony, which began at 12:00 pm.

The programme was conducted by Parliament Secretariat Secretary Barrister Md. Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan.

The two newly elected lawmakers took their oath in accordance with Article 148 and the Third Schedule of the Constitution of Bangladesh, as well as Rule 5 of the Rules of Procedure of Parliament.

Following the formal oath-taking ceremony, both Mirza Faisal Amin and Eliza Zaman signed the oath register in the office of the Parliament Secretariat Secretary, in keeping with parliamentary tradition.

The Deputy Speaker, Chief Whip, other whips, members of parliament and relevant officials of the Parliament Secretariat were also present at the ceremony.

The oath-taking formally marked the beginning of their responsibilities as members of the 13th National Parliament.
