Leaders and activists of the National Citizens Party (NCP) took part in dancing to music at a cultural অনুষ্ঠানে organized on the occasion of the Bengali New Year, Pohela Boishakh. The event, held in the Banglamotor area of the capital, created a lively atmosphere among the audience.

The cultural program took place on Tuesday (April 14) in Navy Goli at Banglamotor following an NCP procession. Popular singer Ashik and his team performed at the event.

At one stage during the performance, singer Ashik invited the attending leaders to come on stage and join the dance. Responding to the invitation, the party’s northern region chief organizer Sarjis Alam and spokesperson Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, along with several others, went up on stage and began dancing. They later tried to bring more party leaders to join them.

However, NCP Convener Nahid Islam and Chief Coordinator Nasir Uddin Patwari remained seated and did not participate in the dance. Despite being invited, they expressed their reluctance.

The moment drew particular attention when a popular song by Baul emperor Shah Abdul Karim was being performed.

Earlier in the afternoon, NCP held a procession from Banglamotor to Paribagh. A large number of party leaders and activists participated in the colorful procession, accompanied by drums and a festive spirit.

In compliance with government directives, the cultural program concluded before 6 pm. Later, party leaders visited various stalls at the Boishakhi fair and exchanged greetings with participating artists.
