NCP Forms Emergency Crisis Response Team to Support Flood-Affected People in Chattogram

The National Citizen Party (NCP) has formed an “Emergency Crisis Response Team” to support people affected by sudden flooding in Chattogram and to coordinate rescue and relief activities more effectively.

The party announced the formation of the team in a press release issued Friday night.

According to the statement, the special team will work to meet the urgent needs of people affected by flooding caused by recent heavy rainfall and mountain water surges in different parts of Chattogram. The team’s main responsibilities will include delivering relief materials quickly, ensuring humanitarian assistance and coordinating rescue operations.

The members of the NCP-formed team include Jawadul Karim, Jobaiful Hasan Arif, A.S.M. Suja Uddin, Zubair Manik, Mir Shoaib, Arif Moinuddin, Mohammad Sifat Hossain, Sajjad Uddin, Mishkat Hossain, Akash Noor, Anwarul Haque, Abdul Karim, Ali Newaz Emon, Rakibul Hasan, Mohammad Azad and Abdur Rahman.

The party said the team will coordinate with relevant individuals and organizations to quickly deliver food, clean water and other emergency assistance to flood-affected areas. Necessary steps will also be taken to make rescue operations more effective and organized.

NCP said it plans to continue humanitarian assistance for affected people until the disaster situation returns to normal.
