The National Citizens Party (NCP) has formed a new committee called the “National Search Committee” to make its expansion activities more organized and to strengthen scrutiny before including new members.
According to a press release issued on Sunday, the committee will evaluate individuals from social, cultural, and political backgrounds before their inclusion in the party. It will also work on strategic expansion plans.
The six-member committee includes spokesperson Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, senior joint convener Samanta Sharmin and Ariful Islam Adib, joint convener Sarwar Tushar, joint member secretary Abdullah Al Amin, and joint convener Ali Ahsan Junayed.
The committee has been formed under the direction of party convener Nahid Islam and member secretary Akhtar Hossain.
Over the past few months, many individuals from various political and social organizations have joined the NCP. The party is strengthening its structure ahead of the 13th national parliamentary election.
Political analysts believe this committee aims to maintain ideological discipline while expanding rapidly
