‘July Spirit’ Scams and Extortion Have Plunged the Country into Crisis: Nurul Haque

Nurul Haque, president of the People’s Rights Council, has alleged that ongoing scams and extortion under the banner of the “July Spirit” have pushed the country into another crisis. He stated that there seems to be no easy way out of this situation and demanded that those involved be brought to justice.

On Sunday evening, in a post on his Facebook page, Nurul Haque wrote: “In one year, the so-called ‘July Spirit’ has caused division, scams, and extortion, pushing the country into yet another crisis. I don’t know if there’s any easy way out of this. It’s regrettable that despite having such a significant opportunity for state reconstruction, nothing was achieved.”

He further added, “I want a public investigation commission to be formed against these so-called fake idealists and new-age looters. They must also be held accountable in a court of law.”

Nurul Haque’s statement has sparked new discussion in political circles. Although he did not mention anyone by name, his remarks call for strict action against those responsible for weakening and endangering the country.
