Jamaat Demands Neutral Vote, Ameer's Clear Message.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Ameer (leader) of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, emphasized the importance of creating a fair environment before elections in the current situation of the country. He made these remarks on Friday (July 4) morning while speaking to journalists at Syedpur Airport in Nilphamari.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman stated, "In the current situation of the country, what kind of election? First, a good environment must be created." He further added, "We hope that if effective reforms can be made on fundamental issues, then there will be a good election. Reforms must be made, and a good election must also be held."

Reiterating Jamaat-e-Islami's stance against violence, he said, "Jamaat-e-Islami has always been against violence. We are always strongly opposed to mob politics. We have been saying this since 1972."
