Islami Andolan Bangladesh Announces 12-Day Program for PR-Based National Elections and Five Demands

At a press conference held on Tuesday at the central office of Islami Andolan Bangladesh in the capital, Secretary General Hafiz Maulana Yunus Ahmad announced a second-phase 12-day program. The schedule includes public outreach from October 1–9, mass rallies in Dhaka and divisional cities on October 10, and submission of a memorandum to the district commissioners on October 12.

The party said it will carry out this program to pressure the government to implement five demands, including holding PR-based elections under the July Charter, ensuring a fair election environment, prosecuting genocide cases, and bringing those involved in fascism to justice.
