No Legal Barrier for Sheikh Hasina to Return and Seek Bail: Rumeen Farhana

BNP MP Barrister Rumeen Farhana said that there is no legal obstacle preventing former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from returning to Bangladesh and facing legal proceedings.

She made the remarks while speaking to journalists at an event in Sarail Upazila Parishad.

She said Sheikh Hasina can surrender in court under the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) and apply for bail like any other citizen.

She also commented on the idea of a “shadow cabinet,” saying it could be a positive democratic practice if used for presenting alternative policies and constructive opposition.

Her remarks have sparked political discussion across the country regarding legal and political implications.
