Imam Maulana Mohibullah Madani of Gazipur Rescued After Abduction

Maulana Mohibullah Madani, the chief imam of BTCL Jam-e-Masjid in Tongi, Gazipur, was rescued from the Helipad Bazaar area of the Sadar Thana in Panchagarh. His son Abdullah confirmed this information.

On Thursday (October 23) morning, the police from Panchagarh Sadar Thana found Maulana Mohibullah Madani unconscious, bound to a tree with an iron chain. He was then admitted to a local hospital.

Maulana Mohibullah was abducted after he went for a walk following Fajr prayers on Wednesday (October 22) morning. When his family could not find him, they filed a written complaint with Tongi East Police Station on Wednesday night.

According to local sources, Maulana Mohibullah had been delivering awareness lectures about the deception of Muslim girls by Hindu boys, including those associated with ISKCON and other Hindu organizations, during Friday sermons. Following these speeches, he had received several threats and numerous anonymous letters.

Panchagarh Sadar Thana’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdullahil Zaman confirmed that Maulana Mohibullah Madani had been rescued and hospitalized, where he is currently undergoing treatment. The police have started an investigation into the incident.
