Meeting between Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and TIB Executive Director

The Executive Director of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB), Dr. Iftekharuzzaman, has met with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

The meeting was held on Thursday (7 May) at 11:00 AM at the Prime Minister’s office in the Cabinet Division of Bangladesh Secretariat. The Prime Minister’s Press Wing confirmed the matter.

During the meeting, various issues related to the country’s overall governance system, transparency, and accountability were discussed, according to sources. Views were exchanged on making administrative activities more effective and strengthening anti-corruption initiatives.

Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Gani was present at the meeting.

Government sources said such meetings are usually held as part of consultations with different stakeholders at the policy-making level, which play a supportive role in future administrative decision-making.
