With Prime Minister Tarique Rahman scheduled to participate in the programme, members of the police, army, various intelligence agencies and Fire Service have been deployed and placed on high alert. Traffic movement along the road in front of the BNP's central office has also been suspended for security reasons.
The security arrangements were observed during an on-site visit to the area surrounding the BNP's central office in Nayapaltan on Saturday (November 7) afternoon.
