Two weeks after the ceasefire in Gaza, the humanitarian crisis continues to deepen. Residents are suffering from acute shortages of food, clean water, fuel, and safe shelter. As Israel restricts humanitarian aid, it is reportedly ignoring directives from the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Meanwhile, Hamas is conducting operations to recover the bodies of 13 Israeli hostages believed to have been killed in Gaza, working alongside the Red Cross and Egyptian teams in this effort.

In southern Khan Younis, Israeli drone strikes killed another person, raising the death toll in the area to two, according to sources at Nasser Hospital. The Israeli military has not commented on the incident.

Following a peace agreement, 41 Palestinian bodies were returned by Israeli authorities in Khan Younis. Funerals were held, and the bodies were later taken to local burial grounds for interment.

In the West Bank, Israeli forces demolished two buildings in the village of Marj al-Ghazal, located in the Jericho Governorate. According to a local organization, the buildings were owned by two brothers from the same family.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio voiced support for Israel’s operations in Gaza on Saturday, stating, “If Israel perceives a threat against itself, it has the right to take action. All mediators agree on this.” However, the Islamic Jihad group has denied Israeli claims that its members were targeted in the attacks.

Despite the ceasefire, Gaza’s residents continue to face severe shortages of food and gas. Iman Shabat, a resident of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, said she now cooks over a wood fire to feed her four children because a gas cylinder costs up to $300, which she cannot afford. “Buying firewood is my only option now because it’s cheaper,” she explained.

Even amid the declared truce, Israeli forces have continued to launch attacks. According to Gaza’s official media, around 100 Palestinians have been killed since the October 10 ceasefire. However, the U.S. Secretary of State insisted that Saturday’s attack did not violate the ceasefire agreement.

Meanwhile, Gaza’s blockade and humanitarian crisis are worsening. Shortages of food and fuel have reached critical levels, leaving ordinary Gazans in dire and increasingly unbearable conditions.
