Hasan Abdul Abdullah has demanded the introduction of a “Justice Card” to ensure justice for ordinary people, alongside various government-issued welfare cards.

He made this demand on Wednesday night at a street meeting in Nangalkot, Cumilla, as the chief organizer of the southern region of the National Citizens Party (NCP) and Member of Parliament.

The rally was held at Hasan Memorial Government College gate area in Nangalkot, with central and local leaders of the party present.

Expressing anger over recent child rape incidents, Hasan Abdul Abdullah said that the people of the country did not only want political change—they also expected security and justice. He said that if the family of a seven-year-old child loses hope of justice, it becomes a shame for the entire state.

He alleged that a culture of lack of justice is eroding public trust and that failure to ensure exemplary punishment for criminals has created frustration among people.

Referring to government social programs, he said that people have been given family cards, farmer cards, and other benefit cards. However, what is most needed now is a system that ensures fast and guaranteed justice. That is why the demand for a “Justice Card” has been raised.

He also spoke about the ongoing political situation, saying that people did not want a replacement of extortionists—they wanted an extortion-free environment, which has still not been achieved.

He warned the government that if injustice and broken promises continue, people will eventually take a strong stance against the state.
