Government and Private Medical and Dental College Entrance Exams to Be Held on the Same Day

On Monday (October 13), Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Matubbar, Director (Medical Education) of the Directorate General of Health Education, confirmed this information to The Daily Campus.

When asked about discipline and coordination, Professor Dr. Rubina Yasmin, Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Education, said, "We had a meeting yesterday. It was decided that the medical and dental entrance exams will be held on the same day, and the same question paper will be used for both exams."

Regarding the merit list and paper evaluation, she mentioned, "These matters have not been finalized yet. We will hold another meeting where these issues will be finalized."

Earlier, the date for the entrance exam for the 2025-26 academic year for both public and private medical colleges was finalized. On October 6, an informal meeting at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare decided to hold the MBBS entrance exam on December 12.

According to the initial plan, the dental entrance exam will be held within one month of the medical entrance exam. As per the previous schedule, the dental entrance exam for the 2025-26 academic year may be held by January 9. Professor Dr. Nazmul Hossain, Director General of the Directorate General of Health Education, had confirmed this.
