College Student Raped on Moving Bus in Habiganj, Two Teenagers Gang-Raped in Narsingdi on Same Night

In Habiganj, a college student has accused the driver and helper of a moving passenger bus of rape. The victim's family states that on Sunday, June 15, the young woman boarded the bus in Shayestaganj to go to Madhabpur. After dropping off other passengers in a secluded area, the bus driver and helper allegedly raped her.

Later that night, the girl was admitted to a local hospital. Immediately after the incident, her family filed a written complaint with the Shayestaganj Police Station. Police promptly launched an operation and arrested the accused driver and helper.

The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shayestaganj Police Station said, "The girl is currently undergoing treatment. Preliminary interrogation of the accused is underway. Legal action will be taken after receiving the autopsy and medical examination reports."

Another incident of alleged gang rape has been reported in a rural area of Narsingdi, where two teenage girls were reportedly lured out and then assaulted. Locals stated that this tragic incident occurred on Thursday night, June 12.

It is reported that a group of young men cunningly called the two teenagers out of their homes and subjected them to brutal assault in a secluded location. They were later rescued in an injured state and admitted to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital.

The victims' families have alleged that the accused are known local miscreants. They have been on the run since the incident became known.

The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Narsingdi Model Police Station said, "Medical examinations of the victims have been completed. Operations are underway to identify and arrest the accused. We will take strict legal action in this incident."
