BPL League Stage Concludes, Play-Offs for the Trophy Begin

The league stage of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 12th edition concluded with Dhaka Capitals defeating Chattogram Royals. Following 30 matches, the tournament now moves into the crucial play-off stage.

On Tuesday (20 January), Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium will host both the Eliminator and the First Qualifier in a single day.

Rajshahi Warriors finished top of the points table with 16 points from 10 matches, despite losing their last match. Chattogram Royals, with 12 points, will face Rajshahi in the First Qualifier. Rangpur Riders, also with 12 points but lower net run rate, will play the Eliminator against Sylhet Titans, who secured fourth place with 10 points.

Dhaka Capitals and Noakhali Express failed to qualify for the play-offs due to inconsistent performances.

According to the play-off format, the winner of the Eliminator and the loser of the First Qualifier will compete in the Second Qualifier on Wednesday (21 January). The winner of that match will face the First Qualifier winner in the final on Friday (23 January).

• 20 January: Eliminator – Rangpur Riders vs Sylhet Titans (1:00 PM)

• 20 January: First Qualifier – Rajshahi Warriors vs Chattogram Royals (6:00 PM)

• 21 January: Second Qualifier (6:00 PM)

• 23 January: Final (7:00 PM)

All preparations are complete; now it remains to see which team will lift the BPL 12th edition trophy.
