Courtesy Meeting Between Tareq Rahman and Canadian High Commissioner in Dhaka

Tareq Rahman, Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), held a courtesy meeting with Canada’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Ajit Singh, on Monday afternoon at the BNP chairman’s office in Gulshan, Dhaka.

Party sources stated that the discussion covered bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Canada, matters of mutual interest, the country’s current political situation, and progress in democratic processes.

BNP Joint Secretary General Humayun Kabir was also present at the meeting. Both sides emphasized the continuation of mutual understanding and cooperation.

Political observers consider this courtesy meeting significant given the ongoing political context in Bangladesh.
