Rafiqul Islam Khan has accused the government of politicization in various sectors in the National Parliament.
Speaking during the discussion on the motion of thanks on the President’s speech on Wednesday, he said signs of political influence are already visible in different institutions despite the government’s short tenure.
He alleged that changes in university vice-chancellors, appointment of administrators in local government bodies, and reshuffling in the secretariat are influenced by political considerations.
He also said such incidents are particularly noticeable in the health sector.
He added that implementation of the referendum verdict could solve many national problems, but alleged complications have arisen in its implementation.
He further criticized government focus, saying issues such as rising commodity prices, fuel price increases, and law and order are not being given sufficient importance.
He also referred to past political movements and questioned the role of the President, stating objections on the matter.
