In the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final, the most prestigious club football tournament in Europe, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Bayern Munich delivered an unbelievable match. PSG moved closer to the final after a dramatic 5–4 victory at Parc des Princes.
From the beginning, both teams played attacking football. Bayern took the lead through a penalty scored by Harry Kane. PSG quickly equalized through Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and later Joao Neves gave PSG the lead with a header.
Before the end of the first half, Michael Olise scored to level the match again. In the final moments of the first half, Ousmane Dembele scored from a penalty to give PSG another lead.
After halftime, PSG intensified their attack. Assisted by Achraf Hakimi, Kvaratskhelia scored his second goal, and shortly after, Dembele scored again, making it 5–2.
However, Bayern did not give up. Joshua Kimmich provided a free-kick assist for Dayot Upamecano to score. Later, Luis Diaz reduced the margin with a goal from Harry Kane’s assist.
Despite further chances, no more goals were scored, and PSG secured a 5–4 win.
With a total of nine goals, this match set a new record for the highest number of goals in a Champions League semi-final match. The fast-paced attacking football and clinical finishing provided a spectacular experience for football fans.
PSG are now ahead in the race for the final, but they will face a tough challenge in the second leg in Munich, where the final qualification will be decided.
