Salahuddin Ahmed stated, “We have spoken with several qualified candidates for each constituency across the country.” He added that, just like in the 2018 elections, BNP is nominating multiple candidates for each seat to ensure that if one candidate’s nomination is canceled, the party does not lose the constituency. This time, however, the party is placing stronger emphasis on maintaining internal unity.
For the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, BNP is expected to finalize its candidate list for over two hundred constituencies. Salahuddin Ahmed mentioned that, due to alliance considerations, the party might have to leave some constituencies for its partners — a matter currently under review.
The BNP is prioritizing not just seat distribution, but also party unity in its selection process. Salahuddin Ahmed emphasized, “We want to send one clear message — both within the party and to the nation — that unity is our greatest strength.” He urged all members to remain united to prevent internal divisions.
Furthermore, the BNP is planning to form a broader political alliance ahead of the upcoming election. On the occasion of Jubo Dal’s founding anniversary, Salahuddin Ahmed said, “We will continue our movement and form a greater alliance with all anti-fascist forces.”
To engage more young people in politics, BNP has undertaken nationwide tours and is developing programs aimed at building a youth-driven nation. Salahuddin expressed optimism that Bangladesh will emerge as a youth-centered country in the coming days.
Present at the event were Jubo Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna, General Secretary Nurul Islam Nayan, and other leaders and activists from the BNP and its affiliated organizations.
